Yanmai Education (“we”) takes the protection of your personal information seriously. This policy explains what information we collect when you use www.yanmai.us, why and how we use it, how it is stored and protected, and your rights. It is prepared in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, including the Personal Information Protection Law of the People's Republic of China.

1. Information we collect

  • Information you submit: your name, contact details (such as a telephone number or WeChat ID), intended programme, and any optional subject or learning need submitted through the free-trial form.
  • Information accompanying your enquiry: the page URL, the domain of the website you came from (if available), the campaign tags in the link you followed (utm_source / utm_medium / utm_campaign, if any), and the submission time, so that we can understand where enquiries come from.
  • Technical information when you visit: like most websites, our hosting provider processes technical information needed to deliver web pages, such as your IP address, browser type and access time, to serve the site and help prevent network attacks.
  • Visit statistics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how the site is used, such as which pages are viewed, the website you came from, browser and device type, country or region, and page load speed. It does not use cookies or store anything in your browser, and it is not used to identify or track individuals; we only see aggregated figures.

We do not use cookies. Personal information submitted through the form is not stored in your browser. The exam timetable saves the subject choices you add in your browser's local storage, which stays on your own device.

2. How we use information

  • To contact you, arrange a trial lesson, provide course information and follow up on this enquiry.
  • To understand which pages and channels enquiries come from and improve website content.
  • To count page views and measure page load speed so that we can improve the website.

We do not use your information for purposes beyond those above, and we do not sell your personal information.

3. Who processes your information

  • Cloudflare (website hosting and visit statistics): the website is hosted by Cloudflare, which also processes the visit statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics). Form information is transmitted through Cloudflare servers and the Cloudflare Pages Function. Cloudflare operates servers worldwide, so your request may be processed on a server near you, including outside China.
  • Enterprise WeChat (Tencent): the form information is sent to our internal Enterprise WeChat group for enquiry follow-up. A course adviser will contact you and record the enquiry and communication in our customer-management records.
  • Airtable (customer follow-up records): the form information is also recorded in our customer follow-up table on Airtable so that a course adviser can follow up. Only our staff can access it. Airtable's servers are located outside China (in the United States).
  • Google Fonts (typefaces): the website loads typefaces from Google servers. Your browser sends technical information, including your IP address, to Google when doing so.

Except for the service providers described above, we do not provide your personal information to third parties, unless required by law or you separately consent.

4. Retention

We retain information only for as long as needed to fulfil the purposes described above. When you no longer need our services or ask us to delete your information, we will delete or anonymise it unless a law or regulation requires us to retain it.

5. Information security

The website uses HTTPS encryption in transit. Form information is sent only to our internal Enterprise WeChat group for enquiry follow-up. The receiving Enterprise WeChat address is stored on the server and does not appear in the website code.

6. Your rights

You may access, copy, correct, supplement or delete your personal information, or withdraw your consent. Contact us at [email protected], by telephone at +86 178 2123 6511, or on WeChat at atlas713. We will verify your identity and handle the request promptly. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out on the basis of consent before it was withdrawn.

7. Children

Our services include secondary-school students. If you are under 14, please ask a parent or other guardian to submit your information, or submit it with their consent.

8. Policy updates

If this policy changes, we will publish the update here and change the date above. Significant changes, such as adding another analytics tool, will be stated clearly on this page.
